TriService Nursing Research Program
The TriService Nursing Research Program (TSNRP) enables the operational readiness, health, and care of warfighters by advancing military nurse scholars, nursing research, and evidence-based practice in the Military Healthcare System. A Congressionally authorized program (S.R. 107-732), TSNRP is part of the DoD Health Care Program established at the Uniformed Services University, Office of Research. (Chapter 104, Title 10, U.S. Code as amended).
Since its inception in 1992, TSNRP continues to expand, offering educational opportunities for military nurses, resources for military treatment facilities, and sponsorship for research and evidence-based practice projects that support warfighters and their families on the frontline and at home. The TSNRP Research Interest Groups foster collaboration, mentorship, and education for military nurses, scholars, and graduate nursing students at every stage of their career.
In 1996 Geneva received its first nursing research grants from TSNRP – the first federally-funded research program for Geneva. Since that time, Geneva remains committed to military nursing research in military treatment facilities across the nation.
In 2019, Geneva assumed a program management role for TSNRP under a cooperative agreement with the Uniformed Services University.
Today, Geneva advances the TSNRP mission through dedicated program support staff, evidence-based practice facilitators, leased office space and life-cycle award management.
