Geneva’s expertise in battlefield health ensures the delivery of cutting-edge medical interventions that strengthen the resilience and readiness of service members. Our work directly supports the health, resilience, and readiness of military personnel while driving innovations that benefit global medical practices.

Combat casualty care research is critical to addressing the unique challenges of battlefield injuries. Geneva is committed to advancing medical interventions, technologies, and strategies to improve survival rates, reduce morbidity, and enhance recovery for Service Members injured in combat. By focusing on optimizing care and outcomes, our research supports the health, readiness, and resilience of military personnel, ensuring they can return to duty or civilian life with the best possible recovery.

    • Over a 10-year period, approximately 1,000 U.S. military personnel could have been saved by innovations in battlefield trauma care.
    • The majority of battlefield wounds occur to the extremities (55%) and head/neck region (30%).
    • The risk of death significantly decreases for combat casualties who survive beyond 4 hours post-injury.
