Research Nurse Peggy Smith Recognized for Always Going the Extra Mile
2021 Q3 Wave the Flag Winner
Geneva recognizes excellence in employees who go above and beyond the normal scope of their work, demonstrate Geneva’s core values, and strengthen our mission of promoting and supporting the advancement of military medicine. The Wave the Flag award is presented quarterly to an employee who exceeds expectations and exhibits Geneva’s core values which are innovation, quality, superior customer service, integrity, teamwork, and respect for all.
The 2021 Q3 Wave the Flag recipient was awarded to Peggy Smith a Research Nurse at San Antonio Military Medical Center in San Antonio, TX. Peggy was nominated by Shawn Potts, Peggy’s manager, for exhibiting Geneva’s core value of superior customer service.
“Peggy constantly will go the extra mile to make sure the task is completed ahead of schedule and done above expectations,” said Shawn Potts. “She does as much as she can to make the experience as easy as possible while ensuring that the study is conducted according to protocol and IRB requirements. She also helps our clinic out as a triage nurse when we are short-staffed and stays actively involved with the fellowship program.”
