Mobile Software Developer Nate Montgomery Recognized for Excellence and Innovation
2022 Q3 Wave the Flag Winner
Geneva recognizes excellence in employees who go above and beyond the normal scope of their work while demonstrating Geneva’s core values and advancing military medicine. The Wave the Flag award is presented quarterly to an employee who exceeds expectations and exhibits Geneva’s core values which are Innovation, Quality, Superior Customer Service, Integrity, Teamwork, and Respect For All.
The 2022-Q3 Wave the Flag recipient was awarded to Mobile Software Developer Nate Montgomery, who works at the U.S. Army’s Telemedicine & Advanced Technology Research Center (TATRC) based in Fort Gordon, GA. Nate was nominated by Dean Parrish, his colleague, and friend, for exhibiting Geneva’s core value of innovation.
“Nate has always done great things, on the job and outside of it,” said Parrish. “He has recently revamped our mobile application user interface and file structure to make it more modern. This was something he took the initiative to do on the side. He did all of this while supporting all of his other tasks.” Parrish goes on to explain how Nate demonstrates leadership and inspires others. “He is always open to help in any capacity. The questions can be about development or even reasons why a study has specific requirements. He understands the big picture and will try to get ahead of any pitfalls he sees coming down the pipeline before it affects anyone in the lab! You always come out of a conversation feeling better than going in when talking to Nate, so people are not afraid to ask him questions. The combination of all of this is a cornerstone for morale and inspiring others!”
