MHSRS Sneak Peek: Medical Readiness and Return to Duty Research Lineup

The Military Health System Research Symposium (MHSRS) is an opportunity for military, government, academia, and industry experts to discuss critical topics and share ideas supporting the U.S. warfighter. During this year’s symposium, attendees will hear expert advice and research findings on critical areas like warfighter medical readiness, expeditionary medicine, warfighter performance, and return to duty.

The physical strength of our service members serves as the cornerstone for their medical readiness and peak performance. With musculoskeletal injuries (MSI) affecting more than 800,000 service members annually and impacting their ability to return to duty, it is no surprise that warfighter readiness is paramount to the Department of Defense and the Defense Health Agency.

Since 2019, Geneva has joined forces with the Uniformed Services University to support and manage the Musculoskeletal Injury Rehabilitation Research for Operational Readiness (MIRROR) program. Geneva administers MIRROR by providing program management, fiscal, and regulatory support. This collaboration provides the opportunity to achieve successful outcomes within the Military Health System. MIRROR brings immense value to military medicine by delivering robust MSI-related research from benchtop to bedside. With over 40 studies within the military health system, MIRROR’s effective infrastructure allows for high-quality research that shapes future clinical practice guidelines and opportunities for military and civilian providers.

MIRROR is excited to announce its participation at the 2023 MHSRS with an impressive lineup of 20 posters and presentations. Learn more about these research studies that will reveal new insights that could revolutionize warfighter health. Plan to stop by the event to dive deeper into the research.
