MIRROR Project 5 — Introducing Non-Surgical Treatments for CECS

Chronic exertional compartment syndrome, also known as CECS, is a condition that occurs within the body, but primarily in the lower legs, and can be devasting to a service member’s military career. A MIRROR-funded project, associated with the Uniformed Services University and The Geneva Foundation, is studying non-surgical treatments of Botox and gait retraining on service members with CECS. A gait analysis, strength, and balance assessment will also be collected to help understand and treat this condition.
