2017 Q3 Wave the Flag Recipient Kevin Kobylinski
Thank you Dr. Kobylinski for your outstanding service and dedication to Geneva’s core values and mission! Kevin Kobylinski, a lead researcher at the Armed Forces Research Institute of Medical Sciences in Bangkok, Thailand, was nominated by Geneva Procurement Services Specialist Justine Berry.
An excerpt from his nomination states:
“Over the past few months, Dr. Kobylinski has been actively assisting procurement beyond the scope of his role as a researcher. His study location is in Bangkok, Thailand; consequently, purchasing delved into the uncharted territory of ordering from local vendors overseas. With a fourteen-hour time difference and language barriers, purchasing encountered difficulties and interruptions in our processes.
Dr. Kobylinski voluntarily stepped in with a positive outlook and offered flexible and innovative solutions. Dr. Kobylinski did not have to take on the extraneous task of corresponding account management. However, on his own time he stayed up until midnight to contact me when I got into work, to learn the intricacies of our needed W-8 Form to better translate its meaning to our Thai counterparts. In fact, this was so successful, that he continues to act as a liaison to translate documents to ensure Geneva is always holding highest standards of best practices and ensure quality thorough due diligence. Dr. Kobylinski follows through not only the procurement process but billing as well. This ultimately filters down to positively impacting vendor relations and even accounting.
His investment in these resolutions shined a light on how much effort he puts into each detail of his study. From his patience with talking us through processes, to countless hours of researching vendors – his partnership with Geneva’s Procurement Services Department displays superior teamwork.
In every instance, he’s exceeded our expectation involving his personal efforts.
Dr. Kobylinski’s collaborative efforts exhibit what it is that makes Geneva stand out as exceptional organization to work for and reinforces Geneva’s mission and dedication to the health and well-being of not only service members and their families, but also the global community.
It is made obvious through Dr. Kobylinski’s dedication to research and work ethic that he is committed to Geneva’s mission, core values, and partnership with his colleagues.”
