Shelly Stewart, PhD

Shelly Stewart, PhD is Geneva’s Director of People Operations (POps). Dr. Stewart spearheads Geneva’s mission to deliver a world-class POps department, overseeing strategy and operations encompassing learning and development, talent management, retention, and attraction practices, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, and efficiency of POps processes—all while prioritizing service and the employee experience.

Dr. Stewart brings over 13 years of transformative leadership in Human Resources, with a notable impact on improving employee engagement and communication, driving Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEI&B) initiatives, and fostering strategic partnerships to achieve organizational success. Her successful track record in these areas aligns seamlessly with Geneva’s organizational values.

In previous roles, including her most recent position as the Corporate Human Resources Business Partner at Titan America, Dr. Stewart demonstrated an exceptional ability to enhance employee engagement through innovative programs. Her commitment to fostering a positive work culture is reflected in her successful implementation of impactful DEI&B initiatives during her tenure as the Director of Human Resources at Exponent Enterprises and Director of Diversity Recruitment at Paralyzed Veterans of America – through her leadership of the P.A.V.E. (Paving Access for Veterans Employment) program.
With a Doctorate in Strategic Leadership and concentration in Leadership Coaching coupled with certifications in Leadership/Executive Coaching and DEI&B, Dr. Stewart is well-equipped and deeply committed to leading transformative HR strategies at Geneva. Her vision for fostering a positive and collaborative work culture resonates with Geneva’s commitment to growth, inclusion, and excellence.
