Joseph Ajayi, CCNA, JNCIA x3, Security+

Joseph Ajayi serves as the Associate Director of Information Management and Security at The Geneva Foundation, where he oversees critical information management and security operations. With over six years of experience in the IT field, Joseph brings a strategic approach to implementing security measures and managing IT infrastructure, ensuring the organization’s systems are secure, reliable, and efficient. His role involves coordinating various aspects of information security, from system administration to network defense, making him a valuable asset to the foundation.

Before joining The Geneva Foundation, Joseph gained valuable experience as a Junior Network Administrator at Design Collective, Inc., and as a PC TECH II at the University of Maryland Medical System. At Design Collective, he managed network changes, provided IT support, maintained Cisco switches and firewalls, and ensured robust network security. His work at the University of Maryland Medical System included deploying and maintaining virtual desktop infrastructure and supporting network infrastructure during the COVID-19 pandemic, where he played a key role in setting up emergency hospital networks.

Joseph’s expertise is backed by numerous certifications, including CompTIA Security+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), ITIL Service Management, and Certified Network Security Specialist, as well as his ongoing Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity Management and Policy at the University of Maryland Global Campus. His technical skills are comprehensive, covering Windows and Linux-based systems, Active Directory, network troubleshooting, and more. Joseph’s proactive problem-solving approach and dedication to continuous improvement make him a standout professional in the cybersecurity and information management field.
