Tina Greenlee Wins Geneva’s Q4 Wave the Flag Award for Excellence
The Geneva Foundation is proud to recognize Tina Greenlee, Ph.D., research scientist at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, as the recipient of the Q4 2025 Wave the Flag Award for Excellence. Greenlee was selected for consistently demonstrating Geneva’s core values of innovation, quality, superior customer service, integrity, teamwork, and respect for all.
The Wave the Flag Award is a peer-to-peer recognition program that honors employees who exceed expectations while advancing military medicine and improving the health and readiness of U.S. service members and their communities.
With nearly 10 years at Geneva, Greenlee brings deep institutional knowledge and scientific precision to every study she supports. She plays a key role in study design, workflow development and data capture systems, ensuring projects are structured for accuracy, compliance, and long-term success.
Greenlee was recognized for leading the design and development of a complex REDCap data capture dashboard for a large National Institutes of Health clinical trial. Her work streamlined data collection, strengthened quality control, and improved collaboration across research sites.
Colleagues say her work provides the foundation for the team’s success.
“Tina is the quiet architect of our entire research team,” said Aliona Megadyuk, research coordinator in Oahu. “She sees a study in its entirety long before the rest of us do and builds the foundations that allow each project to stand strong.”
Beyond her technical expertise, Greenlee is known for her leadership and mentorship. She has trained and supported more than 10 research coordinators across multiple sites, strengthening processes, and empowering teams to deliver high-quality research.
“Tina is the glue that keeps our team strong and moving forward,” said Athena Farias, research coordinator at San Antonio Military Medical Center. “She lives out our core values every single day.”
Greenlee consistently goes above the scope of her role, meeting urgent deadlines, stepping into tasks outside her formal responsibilities, and connecting teams to move projects forward efficiently. Her dedication reflects a deep commitment to her colleagues and Geneva’s mission.
Through her expertise, collaboration and integrity, Greenlee exemplifies the spirit of the Wave the Flag Award and strengthens Geneva’s mission of advancing military medicine.
Congratulations to Dr. Tina Greenlee, and special recognition to all of the Q4 nominees for their outstanding contributions to Geneva’s mission of advancing military medicine.
“Because of Tina, we plan more thoughtfully, design more intentionally, and carry our work with greater precision and care.”
