Elizabeth “Bette” Brown Named Q2 2026 Wave the Flag Award Recipient

The Geneva Foundation has named Elizabeth “Bette” Brown, PhD, Technical Writer, as its Q2 2026 Wave the Flag Award recipient.

The Wave the Flag Award recognizes Geneva employees who go above and beyond in their work while demonstrating the organization’s core values of Innovation, Quality, Superior Customer Service, Integrity, Teamwork, and Respect for All. Brown was recognized for her dedication, professionalism, and contributions to military medical research.

As a technical writer, Brown brings extensive knowledge, professionalism, and a collaborative approach to the research teams she works alongside. Her contributions extend beyond technical writing, as she regularly steps in to assist with study activities and help research teams successfully move their work forward.

“Dr. Brown’s contributions are not only technical but also deeply human. She is a consummate professional who approaches every task with a positive attitude and a collaborative spirit. Her ability to remain calm under pressure and her willingness to go the extra mile make her an invaluable asset to any team,” said Elizabeth Zumbrun, PhD, Principal Investigator.

Sara Johnston, PhD, Principal Investigator, added, “Bette is a critical asset to any study team. Her extensive knowledge and willingness to jump in and help out with study activities outside of technical writing have contributed to the ongoing success of Geneva studies.”

Her commitment to quality and reliability has also made a lasting impression on her colleagues.

“Bette is a true asset and unlike any other technical writer I have worked with in the last 14 years,” said Kristan O’Brien, Research Program Director. “I am extremely appreciative of everything she does. No matter how small or big the task is, she always delivers.”

Congratulations to Bette on this well-deserved recognition and for demonstrating Geneva’s values through her commitment to her colleagues and military medical research.
