Geneva recognizes excellence in employees who go above and beyond the normal scope of their work, demonstrate Geneva’s core values, and strengthen our mission of promoting and supporting the advancement of military medicine. The Wave the Flag award is presented quarterly to an employee who exceeds expectations and exhibits Geneva’s core values which are innovation, quality, superior customer service, integrity, teamwork, and respect for all.

The 2021 Q2 Wave the Flag recipient was awarded to Angela Fornell an Animal Research Technician III who is based out of Madigan Army Medical Center at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Tacoma, WA. Angela was nominated by MAJ Branden Maxwell, Angela’s Section Chief and Supervisor, for exhibiting Geneva’s core value of superior customer service.

“Angela exemplifies the Geneva mission through her outstanding technical skills and her ability to adapt to the constantly changing protocols,” said MAJ Maxwell. “She is an excellent inspirational and inclusive leader within our section.
