2016 Q3 Wave the Flag Recipient Thomas Hiel

Congratulations to Thomas Hiel, Geneva’s 2016 Q3 Wave the Flag Recipient!

An excerpt from his nomination states:

“I have the pleasure of working with Mr. Thomas Heil, a Geneva employee who deserves to be recognized for excellence in his duties as research engineer supporting the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNNMC).

Tom is a very valuable member of our team at the National Military Audiology & Speech Center (NMASC). He constantly displays Geneva’s core values of Integrity, Quality, Innovation, Superior Customer Service, Teamwork, and Respect for All, and many of the NMASC’s research programs would not be possible without his efforts.”

Researchers and clinicians collaborating on NMASC research missions at other military and government installations are familiar with Tom’s efforts as well. A clinician and previous Chief of Hearing Conservation said, “I am familiar with Tom and his quality improvement efforts on the FIT through Hearing Conservation collaboration. I can say that he always steps up willingly and with a “can do” attitude. He is a patient teacher.”

Tom is constantly exceeding expectations and exhibiting the core values of The Geneva Foundation. His contributions to the NMASC have supported the advancement of military medicine.

The Geneva Foundation’s Wave the Flag Award is a peer-to-peer recognition program that seeks to acknowledge employee excellence. Employees are nominated based on demonstration of Geneva’s core values and mission of promoting and supporting the advancement of military medicine. The Award is given quarterly throughout the year.
