Michael Brown, MBA

Michael Brown is the Account Executive and Program Manager of Government Relations for Healthcare R&D at GE HealthCare Technology and Innovation Center formerly General Electric Research (GR). In this role Michael is responsible for developing and executing the strategy that outlines how GRC partners and collaborates with other organizations including academia, industry, government, and NGOs in the healthcare space. The intent of these partnerships is to create innovative technologies that address the current and future healthcare industry needs.

Prior to this role, Michael worked with GE HealthCare as the Enterprise General Manager of Sales, covering strategic academic and commercial accounts in the states of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. Michael has also served as a Business Development Manager at General Electric Research (GR) where he helped to foster successful win-win research collaborations to secure R&D funding from the National Institutes of Health, the Department of Defense (DARPA, US Army, US Navy), BARDA and pharmaceutical companies.

Prior to his 23-year career at General Electric, Michael worked in Marketing and Business Development at Texas Instruments in the Semiconductor and HVAC industries and United Technologies in the Aviation industry.

Michael earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University (Boston, MA) and his M.B.A from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Troy, NY).
