Michael Brown, MBA
Michael Brown brings more than 25 years of experience in healthcare innovation, business development, and strategic partnerships across industry, government, and academia. His career has focused on advancing collaborative research and driving the development of technologies that meet the evolving needs of the healthcare sector.
With deep expertise in forging partnerships, Michael has successfully led collaborations to secure funding from the National Institutes of Health, the Department of Defense (DARPA, US Army, US Navy), BARDA, NASA, NIJ, and leading pharmaceutical companies. His work has centered on building “win-win” research models that secure funding, accelerate innovation, and translate cutting-edge science into practical solutions for patients and providers.
Michael’s professional background includes a 24-year career at General Electric, where he held leadership roles spanning healthcare research, government relations, sales, and business development. In these roles, he managed strategic academic and commercial accounts, built public–private partnerships, and developed collaboration strategies for healthcare R&D. Earlier in his career, he held marketing and business development positions at Texas Instruments in the semiconductor and HVAC sectors, as well as at United Technologies in the aviation industry, providing him with a broad perspective on technology development and commercialization.
Michael holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University (Boston, MA) and an M.B.A. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Troy, NY).
