MEDICAL, BIOMEDICAL & BIODEFENSE: SUPPORT TO THE WARFIGHTER SYMPOSIUM
Geneva’s Regional Director of Grants and Contracts for the Eastern Region, Kelly Lehner, and Regional Client Relationship Manager, Jennifer Johnson, will be representing The Geneva Foundation at the Medical, Biomedical & Biodefense: Support to the Warfighter Symposium 7-8 June 2016. The event will be hosted by Offices of United States Senator Richard Burr and United States Senator Thom Tillis, the North Carolina Military Business Center, the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, the North Carolina Military Foundation, and The University of North Carolina. Events will be held in Raleigh, North Carolina on 7 June and then Durham, North Carolina on 8 June.
On 8 June, Ms. Lehner will be moderating the “Biodefense Challenges, Opportunities, and Funding” session. This session will delve into the biodefense challenges faced by our nation and warfighters and how those challenges are addressed by different federal agencies. Representatives from the different agencies will discuss their role and activities that support national biodefense efforts.
