Grants and Contracts Manager Miranda Bethay visited Geneva researchers and employees at San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC) last month. During her visit, she met with LTC Jeremy Pamplin, MD and Sarah Murray, MSN-RN, ACNS-BC. LTC Pamplin is the PI for the TATRC funded study titled, “The Phases of Illness Paradigm: A Checklist Centric Model.” Sarah is the Research Nurse for this study. The purpose of this study is to develop the checklists for the Phases Of Illness Paradigm (POIP) to assess the POIP’s effect on clinician understanding of patient condition and priorities of care as well as on task completion and patient outcomes. This study is funded the Department of Army, Combat Casualty Care Research Program, Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center, W81XWH-13-2-0011.
