Sharon Hamilton, CPA

Geneva’s Controller Sharon Hamilton is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and has been with Geneva since 2013. Ms. Hamilton’s career at Geneva began in general accounting in the areas of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. She expanded her role into program accounting, learning all facets of Uniform Guidance (UG) under the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the complexities of successfully managing the financial and compliance aspects of grants and contracts. Ms. Hamilton and her team provide a broad range of professional services such as financial planning and analysis, budgeting, business process mapping, evaluation of internal controls, and responses to financial and compliance audits.

Ms. Hamilton brings a wealth of accounting and financial experience and has applied accounting principles to different industries including Fortune 500, venture-funded, and subsidiary accounting under a parent company. Her past roles include internal audit, consolidations and reporting, and managing all aspects of general accounting.

Ms. Hamilton is a University of Texas graduate in Business Administration from the McCombs School of Business.
