Director of Client Partnerships

Jim Hulbert, MS

James “Jim” Hulbert serves as Geneva’s Director of Client Partnerships. In this role, he works with federal and industry partners to provide new funding opportunities and collaborations for military researchers. He leads a team dedicated to helping military investigators identify research opportunities and beneficial partnerships. Located in Washington, D.C., Mr. Hulbert is poised to work with researchers in the National Capital Region, and across the globe, to create new funding partnerships and advocate for new programs of research.

Prior to this position, Mr. Hulbert worked in various leadership roles at the congressionally-created Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institution (PCORI). He was responsible for developing new funding cycles and submission guidelines; implementing pre-award, merit review, and funding processes and policies; creating a helpdesk to support applicants and awardees; implementing an award management system; and leading applicant outreach activities while growing the portfolio and providing customers with superior service. Mr. Hulbert also served as a Geneva employee from 2006-2012, serving various capacities to include pre- and post-award grant management and business development.

Mr. Hulbert graduated from Pacific Lutheran University and earned his Master of Science degree in Research Administration from Johns Hopkins University.
