Amy Ossola-Phillips, MRA, CRA

Amy Ossola-Phillips, MRA, CRA is a research administrator with extensive experience in federal, state, private, and foundational sponsored programs. She joined Geneva in 2021 and prior to that, she held the position of Manager of Special Projects in the Graduate School at The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA.) Prior to this role, she served as the Director of the Research Service Center for Sciences and Engineering.

Ms. Ossola-Phillips earned her Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a concentration in Accounting from the University of the Incarnate Word located in San Antonio, TX. She is also a graduate of the first cohort of the Master of Research Administration (MRA) program at The University of Central Florida.

Her research administration and sponsored programs experience spans over 17 years beginning at UT Health San Antonio. Ms. Ossola-Phillips began her journey at UTSA in 2008 where she gained extensive experience at department level administrative functions, financial management, pre- and post-award at both the department and central office levels, and engagement with industry and federal agreements. Her most recent experience includes advanced skills in effectively managing research programs and a research administration team. She is a servant leader with measured proficiency in creative problem solving, project management, team-inclusive planning, critical thinking, and a strong focus on customer service.

Ms. Ossola-Phillips is currently a member of the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA) and serves as the Co-Chair of the Collaborate Pre-Award Working Group. She is also a member of the UTSA Women’s Professional Advancement and Synergy Academy. Her past memberships and committees include NCURA National Conference Planning Committee, NCURA Region V Travel Awards Committee, Leadership UTSA, Society for Research Administrators, UTSA Staff Council, and the UTSA Research Advisory Board.
