NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE RESEARCH SYMPOSIUM
24 June 2016
Geneva’s Regional Client Relationship Manager Kathy Carey will represent Geneva at the 5th Annual Nellis Air Force Base Research Symposium 24 June at the Mike O’Callaghan Federal Medical Center (MOFMC) in Clark Country, Nevada. This year’s theme will be “Supporting Graduate Medical Education” where residents will present their research projects and/or scholarly activities to a local forum prior to their graduation. This annual activity allows them to meet that requirement, as well as, allow the graduating residents to present their completed research to their peers and hospital commanders.
Geneva is proud to be supporting the research symposium through our Community Giving Program by providing funding for food, beverages, printing of agenda and invitations, and the creation of academic posters that will be utilized for the resident presentations. This is Geneva’s 5th year of providing support for the Nellis Air Force Base Research Symposium, without such funding, the event would not be as successful. Community Giving Program provides funding opportunities for a diverse array of community events and activities at Military Treatment Facilities and Federal Laboratories nationwide. Geneva’s Community Giving Program awards funding to support specific military departmental activities that are not included in departmental budgets or in instances when the department does not have an existing reserve account at The Geneva Foundation.
