Military Operational Readiness Precision Medicine Conference

Geneva’s President Elise Huszar, Federal Acquisition Activity Director Marjorie Osmer, and Eastern Region Client Relationship Manager Kelli Blaize-Wise will be representing Geneva at the upcoming Military Operational Readiness: Precision Medicine Conference, on 30 May. The event, hosted by the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), the Defense Health Agency (DHA), and Department of Defense (DoD), will take place at the Bolger Center in Potomac, MD. This conference promotes the opportunity for military and civilian researchers, scientists, and policy makers together to apply the principles of patient-centered diagnosis and treatment — precision medicine — to a range of important topics in the Military Health System from age-related disease among beneficiaries (cancer, cardiovascular disease, and dementia) to improving human performance to optimizing care of injured casualties. Scientific focus will reach beyond genomics and include molecular, environmental, nutritional, and behavioral variations that influence health outcomes in the warfighter. Leaders from the DoD and USUHS will speak on the uniqueness of DoD research, while keynote speakers from federal and non-federal agencies will present the latest research data and health information to address opportunities.
