The Geneva Foundation was awarded a contract from Naval Medical Logistics Command to support research efforts at Naval Medical Research Center-Frederick.
Geneva will conduct joint research projects related to biodefense and/or emerging infectious diseases with research partners in Southeast Asia, Africa, Middle East, Eastern Europe, etc. We will train laboratory scientists and technicians in Defense Threat Reduction Agency’s (DTRA) Cooperative Biological Engagement Program (CBEP) partner countries in laboratory detection of microorganisms using molecular, clinical microbiology, and/or serological procedures. We will also aid in developing, implementing, supplying, and training for Laboratory Mobile Response Units assigned by DTRA CBEP. We are very excited to support this important program!
