DAVID BLANFORD NAMED CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Press Release

Geneva has selected Mr. David Blanford, CPA as its Chief Financial Officer, effective 1 December 2014. Mr. Blanford is the former CFO of Logan’s Linens Holdings, LLC in Louisville, Kentucky, and previously served as CFO of Tacoma Electric Supply.

“We are thrilled to have David Blanford as a key member of our Executive Team,” said Geneva President Elise Huszar. “His demonstrated track record as a successful CFO, combined with his substantial background in the health care sector, makes him a key asset to The Geneva Foundation.”

Mr. Blanford has been in finance and accounting for over 20 years, having been employed as Chief Financial Officer and as a Board member for organizations involved in pharmaceutical research, manufacturing and distribution, and healthcare linen. He has worked closely with Geneva for several years as Board Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee and, most recently, has consulted with the finance and executive teams.

“David brings to Geneva a wealth of accounting expertise, incredible business acumen, and a strong leadership presence,” said Jane Taylor, Founder and Chief Strategy Officer of The Geneva Foundation. “We have seen his ability to create value and growth for companies, and look forward to working with him in this capacity.”

In his role at Geneva, Blanford will oversee the organization’s Finance Department and be part of the Executive Team. He will have the responsibility for the financial management, planning, and operations for Geneva’s $50 million budget.

“I’ve been involved with Geneva since its establishment in 1993, and have been impressed and inspired by their continued dedication to their mission to support innovative medical research within the U.S. military” said David Blanford, newly appointed CFO for The Geneva Foundation. “I am honored to join an organization that believes so fully in their work, and that is truly making a difference in the lives of our service members, their family, and the greater public.”
